Change Management

All Asset Management improvement programs (involving business process reengineering and/or associated systems installation/upgrade) will require sites to modify existing or adopt new strategies and practices. 

The GMC Group recognises the key to any successful and sustainable implementation is to have the appropriate focus on the people side of the equation.  GMC place a major emphasis on integrating an effective change management philosophy and program.  A number of activities are undertaken to focus on changes in:

  • Culture (values and beliefs)
  • Teams and Relationships
  • People's ability and willingness to undertake new or different tasks

In broad terms this is about communication, engagement, vision workshops, training, mentoring and coaching, team building, aligning processes and people before go live, removing barriers to progress, creating an environment for success, rewarding success and discussing failures, and then follow up programs and monitoring.
