Irek Stawiczny is Managing Director and CEO of GMC Group. Irek is the founder of the GMC Group and is a member of the Advisory Board. He is a qualified Engineer with 17 years mining industry experience, working in multiple of technical and leadership roles. Over the last 10 years, Irek has been involved in a number of large scale Asset Management improvement programs, including Global Enterprise Resource Planning projects, focusing on assisting clients in realising value through improved Asset Management practices. Irek is a passionate Asset Management professional who believes in sustainable business benefits delivered through the effective change management principles. His focus is on managing the growth of GMC Group by developing long-term professional relationships with the resources companies, relationships which are based on professional integrity, value adding and trust.
A senior manager with over 25 years experience in the mining sector covering a broad range of roles and locations. This has included a variety of technical roles based at operational mine sites. He is recognised for strong leadership, organisation and planning skills in both the development and implementation of business and systems strategies and solutions. He has significant business and information systems experience, including planning and management of large ERP systems implementations across multiple sites and countries.
Peter has over 25 years contract management and supply chain experience in various industry sectors including mining, civil engineering and materials handling based in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Peter has been engaged in various site-based and senior management roles overseeing both implementation and improvement of contract capabilities and supply services in a number of businesses and public entities. Peter has formal qualifications in civil engineering, business management and exporting and has professional memberships with Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Aust), Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ron joined GMC in 2009 bringing over 30 years of technical and managerial experience in Operations, Projects and Consultancy in the Mining Industry. After a sound career with Placer Dome that included leading the Corporate Business Process and Asset Management implementation in Chile, Ron entered the international consulting business in 2006, leading the Performance Improvement Practice for CRU Strategies. Focused on delivering value, he has proven, practical, experience in Strategic Development, Business Process Reengineering, Project Management and Maintenance Management in copper and gold operations in Canada and South America.
Paul is a Certified Management Accountant (Ontario) and holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting degree. He has over 12 years experience in the mining industry. Paul has international experience in sales, marketing, treasury and administration. This expertise extends well beyond core Finance to include SAP, Supply Chain, Corporate Governance, IT, Pension and Benefits and Information Management. This broad range of functional Management leadership experience provides him with a sound knowledge of resource industry challenges.
Thomas has 24 years supply chain experience in both consulting and business roles. He has worked in Mining, Telecommunication and Banking industries with over 15 years of successful project implementations. Thomas has also managed large scale system programmes for international companies, lately focusing on assisting BHPB Globally with strategic Supply Chain programs. Thomas has a strong passion for building long term successful partnerships with customers. Thomas will work very closely with Peter Stewart to continue the successful supply chain integration services delivery for GMC Group Globally.
Michael has over 12 years of Operations experience and has progressed through a variety of challenging leadership positions and project delivery including Global ERP, Plant Floor Integration and automation projects. Previously, Michael worked as a Senior Consultant delivering ERP and Strategy consulting within the Supply Chain and Manufacturing verticals with such industries as Mining and Chemicals. Michael has also lead and grown a North American Integration and Intelligence practice and as Director focused on delivering value and achieving operational excellence with all engagements.
Peter McCarthy is Chairman of AMC Consultants Pty Ltd and has 39 years experience in the minerals industry. A consultant since 1985, Peter has combined feasibility study and review projects with a series of hands-on management roles and advisory relationships. He is non-executive Chairman of Bendigo Mining Limited, non-executive Director of Castlemaine Goldfields Limited and Chairman of The AusIMM’s Heritage Committee. Peter has published more than 30 papers and articles in his field of interest.
John is the founding principal of Swann Global with more than 30 years in the mining and executive search industries. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience which enables him to understand and accurately define the needs of his clients and candidates. As a result John enjoys close working relationships with key organizations and leaders within the mining industry globally.
Wojtek Ozga is a Senior Mining Executive with over 35 years of international mining experience in Africa, Europe, Australia, FSU and Asia. As an expert Mining Engineer and Mine’s Managers Ticket (WA) holder, Wojtek brings the full mining lifecycle experience from mining exploration to mine closure to GMC Advisory Board. His unique pragmatic approach to mining industry and its challenges makes him a World expert in the mineral resources industry and a very well respected and trusted mining industry leaders’ advisor.
Dominic joined KPMG in 1994, and has worked in the Middle Market Advisory Group since that time. Dominic specialises in the provision of accounting, taxation and advisory services to a wide range of privately and family owned businesses.
