Irek Stawiczny

Managing Director and Chairman

Irek Stawiczny is Managing Director of GMC Group and The Chairman of the GMC Group Board. Irek is a qualified Engineer with 16 years mining industry experience, working in multiple of technical and leadership roles. Over the last 10 years, Irek has been involved in a number of large scale Asset Management improvement programs, including Global Enterprise Resource Planning projects, focusing on assisting clients in realising value through improved Asset Management practices. Irek is a passionate Asset Management professional who believes in sustainable business benefits delivered through the effective change management principles. His focus is on managing the growth of GMC Group by developing long-term professional relationships with the resources companies, relationships which are based on professional integrity, value adding and trust.

Peter Dunford

Chief Executive Officer

Peter is a Management professional with a strong people focus developed through 28 years experience in Global Resources Industries (Manufacturing, Mining, Oil and Gas, Utilities and IT). He has consulted internationally in Asset Management, Leadership, Change, and ERP Systems. Peter has proven ability in implementing change and driving business outcomes through leadership of teams and people in industrial and corporate environments.

Craig Anderson

Business Development Manager

Craig Anderson is a Chemical Engineer with over 25 years experience working in the Resources Industry. Craig has worked in a variety of consulting and managerial roles, including Operations and Maintenance, Business Strategy and Development, Cost and Process Optimisation, Marketing and Logistics. He plays a lead role within the GMC Group as Business Development Manager, and is actively involved in leading Business Process Re-engineering initiatives. Craig is a passionate believer that the key to the success of GMC's programs is in its overarching focus on ensuring that the people aspects of change are effectively addressed.

Drew Parkinson

Consulting Manager

Drew has over twenty years maintenance experience within the utility and mining industries and over eleven years applying this knowledge when combining sound business processes with SAP system capability. This includes over eight complete end to end SAP implementations, several large Business Improvement Projects and System Data Optimisation programs. He is an experienced Project Manager who has successfully lead a number of teams completing global implementations for major mining organisations as well as ensuring these new processes are successfully stabilised, embedded and fully integrated into all facets of these organisations. Drew has well developed Reliability Centred Maintenance practices and has successfully applied these in several Business Improvement initiatives enhancing business processes throughout the complete Asset lifecycle.

Jeremy Burgin

Finance Manager

The GMC Group Finance Manager, Jeremy, joined GMC as a financial controller, coming to the company with over 8 years of industry experience. In the past two years, Jeremy has successfully implemented financial and business systems that have contributed to the rapid expansion of the GMC Group throughout the world. A valued member of the team, Jeremy was invited to join the Leadership team in early 2008.

Peter Stewart

Supply Chain Integration Manager

Peter has over 25 years contract management and supply chain experience in various industry sectors including mining, civil engineering and materials handling based in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Peter has been engaged in various site-based and senior management roles overseeing both implementation and improvement of contract capabilities and supply services in a number of businesses and public entities. Peter has formal qualifications in civil engineering, business management and exporting and has professional memberships with Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Aust), Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Craig Shelton

Global Operations Manager

A senior manager with over 25 years experience in the mining sector covering a broad range of roles and locations. This has included a variety of technical roles based at operational mine sites. He is recognised for strong leadership, organisation and planning skills in both the development and implementation of business and systems strategies and solutions. He has significant business and information systems experience, including planning and management of large ERP systems implementations across multiple sites and countries.

Gerhard van Niekerk

Vice President - GMC America

During his first 15 years in industry Gerhard built up technical, operational, and management experience in global corporations like Rio Tinto. Managing metallurgical plants during times of political unrest and poor economic conditions taught him how turning around performance depends on the plant assets and motivated people. His passion for improving corporate and operations performance lead him to join SAP where he found the SAP mining practice and over 10 years of collaboration with customers and partners established SAP as a leading ERP player in the mining sector. His broad business advisory experience in Process Industries (Mining, Chemicals and Oil & Gas) stems from his engagements with many leading companies in the USA, Canada, Europe, Russia, South Africa as well as Brazil, Peru and Chile. His consulting capabilities range from ERP implementation and integration, operational excellence strategies, and minerals resource management.
